Mobilize your Membership

No one knows your membership base better than you do. You know your members’ passions and interests.  You know what motivates them to take action and give their time and resources.  If your membership is interested in global problems, partnering with the UN Foundation makes it easy to get your supporters involved in the global work of the United Nations.

The United Methodist Church (UMC) saw the value of partnering with the UN Foundation.  The UMC is a founding partner of Nothing But Nets, a global grassroots campaign to save lives be preventing malaria, a leading killer of children in Africa.

The UMC brings the enthusiasm and inspiration of their 11.5 million members to this cause.  The entire church has been engaged in an effort to eliminate malaria deaths. Community service and global awareness is a core value of their faith.  Being involved in the campaign has launched a grassroots movement revitalizing the church.  Members young and old are taking pride in the fact that their church is doing something significant to combat malaria and they can be a participant.

Having such a large and committed partner in this global issue has raised public awareness about malaria and energized other communities to get more involved. The UMC and UN Foundation partnership shows that the enthusiasm of a large membership organization can make change at a global level.

UN Foundation is doing great work in the areas of population control, poverty alleviation, child and women's rights, global warming etc. In the World of about 6.7 billion population, 80% people are living below povery line, they donot have access to clean water, hygienic conditions, access to education. There is a vast disparity between between rich and poor. In a country like India where billions of black money has been deposited in Swiss bank by rich people, power and wealth is concentrated in the hands of few people, projects of the Government are not reaching to downtrodden due to huge corruption in public life, there is a need of UN initiative. NGOs should join hands woth UNF. My NGO Global Vision India Foundation is also interested in entering partnership with UNF to share and implement its programmes.

African Environmental non-governmental organisations need more funding from the donor community if environment sustainability is to be achieved as stipulated in the MDGs. Climate change is at its climax, communities are facing the worst threat humanity has ever been subjected to. Its time we dealt with environment aspects such as climate change, slum up grading, environmental democracy and governance and chemicals. Africa is an avenue and prone to environmental degradation, let us do some thing, do not ask where you will benefit from, help those who are worst hit and give an opportunity to the future generation, this world belongs to the future generations, let them never forget us because of our mistakes and challenges we ignored to solve. Lets unite to promote sustainable development.

In the past decades or even centuries long, the Bangsamoro people in Mindanao, Sulo and Palawan (Southern Philippines) felt and experienced poverty as results of the century long conflict in our homeland and inappropriate social services and support. From these, the Alliance of Bangsamoro for Peace and Sustainable Development, Inc. conceptualized comprehensive livelihood program addressing countryside communities with emphasis on Environment. Furhter, we just conceptualized the relevant educational framework for the Bangsamoro people, believing this is one way to solve the problem in Mindanao, as we also believed that we are presently educated not with our nature and world.
