Andrew Axelrod serves as the Vice President of Strategic Planning and Implementation at the UN Foundation, where he leads the Foundation’s strategic planning and performance management functions as well as provides senior level management for the UN Foundation’s marketing and advocacy campaigns, including Nothing But Nets, Girl Up, and Shot@Life.
Prior to working at the UN Foundation, Andrew served as Senior Director of Strategic Planning at K12 Inc, where he was responsible for developing a strategic plan for the company’s higher education business and then managing the newly formed entity.
Before joining K12, Andrew worked as a management consultant at The Parthenon Group, a strategic advisory firm serving corporate, not-for-profit, and private equity clients across a broad range of industries. As a senior member of the firm’s San Francisco office, Andrew worked extensively in the foundation and not-for-profit sectors, including projects with the Gates Foundation’s U.S. Education division as well as Special Olympics International.
Additionally, Andrew held positions in corporate strategy at The Home Depot and in strategic finance at Ernst & Young, both in Atlanta. Andrew graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.S. in Commerce and holds an M.B.A. from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
