The V. Kann Rasmussen Foundation has emphasized environmental grantmaking since it was founded in 1991. It has also undertaken a grantmaking program in Greenwood, South Carolina, and supported medical research, especially in the field of eye research. In all of the Foundation's grants, it seeks to emphasize collaboration across disciplines and among institutions and people. The trustees of the Foundation believe in the power of collaboration among people and institutions and across disciplines, and seek to reflect this in grantmaking decisions as much as possible. |
