Measles Initiative

The Measles Initiative is a partnership committed to reducing measles deaths globally. Launched in 2001, the Initiative led by the American Red Cross, the United Nations Foundation, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, UNICEF and the World Health Organization provides technical and financial support to governments and communities on vaccination campaigns and disease surveillance worldwide.

Million Moms Challenge

ABC News and the UN Foundation launched an initiative engaging millions of Americans to support millions of moms across the globe around the critical issues of pregnancy, childbirth and children's health. Using the latest in social media strategies together with world-class broadcast and digital news platforms, this initiative is building a vibrant community that connects moms everywhere around things all mothers care about: the right nutrition to support their pregnancies, trained midwives to assist in safe deliveries of newborns, and vaccines that allow children to survive to celebrate their first birthdays and beyond.

The Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea was established in 1986, which was originally named as The Italian Ministry for the Environment and Territory (IMET) and renamed as in 2006. Nets Go!

Building off the successful Nothing But Nets' campaign, the United Nations Foundation is working with international partners to bring the movement to end malaria to the Republic of Korea. Nets Go! is an initiative of the United Nations Foundation to raise awareness and funds to prevent malaria in Africa, a leading killer of children in Africa. Nets Go! was previewed in Seoul City Plaza on World Malaria Day, April 25, 2010, with a display of over one hundred bed nets.
