Q: Is there a minimum dollar amount of commitment required to apply for PGH?
A: There is no minimum dollar amount, however, larger volumes provide higher benefits and savings generated from the PGH mechanism.
Q: Who can apply for PGH?
A: Any government or civil society with a late donor disbursement, but a need to accelerate health procurement may apply for PGH.
Q: What is the indicative interest rate of the commercial L/Cs?
A: The Guarantee allows the recipient to negotiate for prime rates, below current market levels. The current indicative interest rates range from 5-7%.
Q: Does PGH charge a fee?
A: Currently, PGH does not charge a fee.
Q: What disease classes does PGH apply?
A: Mainly, PGH transactions cover the following disease classes: Reproductive Health, Malaria, TB, HIV/AIDS, but it is open to other opportunities.
Q: Who are the most common donors for PGH transactions?
A: Usual donors include The World Bank, The Global Fund, and DFID, but PGH is willing to work with any other donor commitments.
