Issue Area: UN-US Relations
With donations from and cooperation between partner organizations, individuals, and governments, the UN has made progress toward the rebuilding and recovery of Haiti after the January 12 earthquake. The UN Foundation continues to work closely with the United Nations and the donor community to assist the people of Haiti in the long-term reconstruction efforts.

- Work with Haiti’s Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of diseases such as malaria and measles
- Ensure that women have healthy pregnancies and give birth safely through the distribution of maternal health kits
