Video: It Just Takes Two Drops

Issue Area: Children’s Health

The UN Foundation’s participation in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative includes providing $200 million to reduce the geographic range of polio from 30 to 4 countries, and helping to deliver 10 billion doses of polio vaccine to more than 2 billion children.

With key partners, we strive to raise funds and awareness, advance the policies of national governments and international agencies, and support the leadership of UN agencies. We count on our work to help bring polio to the brink of eradication as one of our proudest accomplishments, and every year we’re one step closer to our goal. As the video below shows, it just takes two drops.

What is the UN doing about Human Rights Violations in Srilanka??? Thousands of people are dying and what UN does is to ask the SL Govt to stop fighting, why can't UN take action instead? Look at the kids there no food clothing or shelter what wrong did they do? don't they deserve a aid? please please please open your eyes and see whats happening take action instead of just asking the SL govt. Thanks UP

I am pleased to say that the UN is doing very good work, &its support worldwide. I would therefore like to encourage everyone who is involved with the UN to continue providing important service to the nations. I would also like to say that, I have ambitions that one day I would join the UN in order to share my experience, skills and knowledge to support people worldwide. I am working reasonable hard in order to become part of the UN staff because I have a lot to offer and I have what it takes to be part of the UN as an International organisation. I am currently specialising in Education and working with children and young people in France and UK, and I am looking to extend my ambitions further. Thank you very much.
