Your nets in Central African Republic
Over the last few months, the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign has been working with PSI (Population Services International) and our UN partners to get a life-saving bed net to every family in the Central African Republic. Thanks to the hard work and contributions of our supporters and Champion Mandy Moore, we are currently delivering those nets to help protect families from malaria for years to come. In this video, Danwe N'Dikwe of PSI describes his personal experience with malaria, and how working together is the best way to beat this deadly disease.

Singer/actress Mandy Moore reports from the Bimbo Health Clinic in the Central African Republic (CAR) about the work of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria. Along with the UN Foundation's Nothing But Nets campaign, PSI, and our UN partners, Mandy Moore recently helped distribute thousands of long-lasting, insecticide-treated mosquito nets to families in CAR.


Kelly Rowland: Help Spread the Buzz about the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs)
Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter-television host-actress Kelly Rowland helped premiere the new UN Foundation PSA on the Toshiba Vision Times Square screen. "We all can send the message to world leaders that we care about these goals and want to make a difference," she said.

Achieving the United Nations Millennium Development Goals: Progress Through Partnerships
UN Foundation CEO Kathy Bushkin Calvin testified on Tuesday, July 27, 2010, before the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on International Organizations, Human Rights, and Oversight. The subject of her testimony: how cross-sector partnerships are advancing the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).


UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin Speak Out on MDGs
To galvanize support for the Millennium Development Goals, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has established an MDG Advocacy Group of eminent personalities who have shown outstanding leadership in promoting the implementation of the Goals. The MDG Advocacy Group will support the Secretary-General in building political will and mobilizing global action to make the MDG Summit a turning point in our collective effort to achieve the Goals by the 2015 target date. The UN MDG Advocates speak about what they're going to do to ensure that the MDGs are achieved, and how the world would be a different place if the Goals were achieved. UN Foundation Founder and Chairman Ted Turner is a member of the MDG Advocacy Group and UN Foundation CEO Kathy Calvin speaks on behalf of Mr. Ted Turner at the first meeting of the MDG Advocacy Group in Madrid on July 16, 2010.
