Advocating U.S. Funding for the UN

The Better World Campaign (BWC), a project of our sister organization, the Better World Fund, is a leading voice for a strong, fully funded UN system. We work with thousands of individuals all over the United States—and around the world—to raise the profile of the UN and the challenges it faces. We believe that no one nation should pay all the bills or take all the risks for international peace and security. To that end, we work with the United States and other governments to fully fund the lifesaving and life-changing work of the United Nations.

    Haiti Earthquake Response

    Area of Involvement: UN-US Relations

    With the help of donations and cooperation between partner organizations, individuals, and governments, the UN has made a great deal of progress toward the rebuilding and recovery of Haiti after the January 12 earthquake. The UN Foundation continues to work closely with the United Nations and the donor community to assist the people of Haiti in the long-term reconstruction efforts.
