“My Super Sweet 16 Presents: EXILED!”
This episode premiered August 25, 2008 and featured some of the most memorable party throwers featured in MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16” as they gave up their pampered lifestyles to live with indigenous cultures throughout the world. Through their experiences, the former divas (and one “divo”) learned about such pressing social issues as malaria, gender inequity, climate change and cultural preservation.
Working with Exiled producers and MTV’s Think Community, the UN Foundation provided content that helped connect viewers who wanted to learn more about the issues the show explored with the organizations and activities working to make a difference.
