Contest Details
When does the contest end?
The contest ends and registration will close on December 31, 2008 at 11:59:59 PM (EST)
What is the minimum age for participation?
Entrants must be 14 years old at the time of entry
Can people outside the U.S. enter?
The Sweepstake is open only to legal residents of the fifty United States and the District of Columbia.
How do I enter?
Sweepstakes participants will be officially registered for the contest after completing ALL of the steps below:
- Provide a valid name and email address on the “Get Exiled” Sweepstakes page, and;
- Send an e-card to at least one friend
Note that if a person enters multiple times, only the first entry will be counted.
Prize Details
What are the prizes?
The UN Foundation Prize is a trip for the prize winner and one guest (if the winner is a minor, the guest must be a parent or legal guardian) with the UN Foundation’s Nothing but Nets campaign. The trip, to be scheduled in 2009 by the UN Foundation, will be to a yet-to-be-determined country in Africa. The UN Foundation has not selected a country at this time and will be working with country governments and partners to arrange the trip and activities. More details will be released once they are known.
The prize includes:
- round trip coach airfare for winner and guest from a major airport
- hotel accommodations for the winner and guest for 3 nights
- round trip ground transportation for the winner and guest
The Winner is responsible for all federal, state and local taxes, food, beverages, additional hotel amenities, fees, gratuities, and any other costs and expenses incurred while on the trip.

The MTV Networks prize is a trip for the prize winner and one guest (if the winner is a minor, the guest must a parent or legal guardian) to the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. The location of the awards has not yet been determined and will be announced as soon as it is known.
The prize includes:
- round trip airfare for the winner and guest from a major airport
- hotel accommodations for the winner and guest for 2 nights
- round trip ground transportation for the winner and guest

What if I am under 18 and I win a prize?
If the prize winner(s) is under 18 years of age, a parent or legal guardian must sign all legal documents required by the prize providers.
How is the winner selected?
The winner will be randomly selected by the UN Foundation from all eligible entrants. There will be two random drawings for each prize.
When will the winners be announced?
Potential winners will be notified on or about January 31, 2009 via phone, e-mail or postal mail.
Will the winners be on tv?
There are no plans for MTV to feature either of the prize winners on an MTV Networks show at this time.

Can I sign my son or daughter up for the contest?
The entrant must be the rightful owner, or have authorized use of the email used on the entry form.

Technical Problems
What if I filled out the registration form but I was not shown a screen to send an ecard?
As stated in the Official Rules of the contest, you must fill out the registration form and send the contest to one friend. If you are not taken to a page where you can send an e-card to a friend after submitting the registration form, you can use this link http://www.globalproblems-globalsolutions.org/site/Ecard?ecard_id=1521.

What if the registration link doesn’t work?

MTV
When will the location of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards be announced?
MTV Network will announce the location of the 2009 MTV Movie Awards as soon as the location has been determined.
Does the winner of the MTV prize also win special access to any of the MTV Movie Awards events?
No, the winner of the MTV prize will not receive any special access to any other MTV Movie Awards events or to restricted access areas of the Awards Show.
