Analyzing demand for women’s economic empowerment interventions from the field

UN Foundation and UN Women, Fund for Gender Equality

In 2009 and 2011, UN Women’s Fund for Gender Equality (FGE) solicited proposals for projects supporting women’s economic empowerment globally. This project analyzes the 1,000 proposals received in order to understand economic empowerment from a program ‘demand’ side. It highlights the most frequent project types, sectors and regions for which field-based implementers sought funding support.
