Council of Women World Leaders: Leadership

We are governed by a small and cohesive Board of Directors who share a commitment to the goals and objectives of the United Nations Charter and the UN’s work on behalf of economic, social, environmental and humanitarian causes.

 

Dalia Grybauskaitė: Chair President, Republic of Lithuania, 2009-Present

Chair President, Republic of Lithuania, 2009-Present
Dalia Grybauskaitė is the current President of the Republic of Lithuania, elected on May 17, 2009. After completing her studies in economics, she worked as a lecturer on political economy and the world history of money. In 1993, she became Director of the Economic Relations Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Kim Campbell was the first and only Prime Minister of Canada, and only the second woman to sit at the table of G8 leaders. Campbell began her political life as a trustee, chair, and vice-chair of the Vancouver School Board in the early 1980s.

Margot Wallström has had a long and illustrious career in both Swedish and European Union Politics. She has served in the Swedish government as the Minister for Civil Affairs (1988-1991), Minister for Culture (1994-1996), Minister for Social Affairs (1996-1998), as well as having been a representative in Swedish parliament.

Kathy Calvin is the President and CEO of the United Nations Foundation. In her time leading the UN Foundation, Calvin has worked to increase partnerships with like-minded organizations, foundations, and corporations including the Council of Women World Leaders.
