Every year, leaders come together in New York for the Social Good Summit to share how social media and technology can make the world a better place.
Now, we want you to be a part of the conversation.
At the 2012 Summit, we invited everyone, everywhere to help us answer two big questions:
How can new media and technology create solutions in your community? When you think about the biggest challenges facing your neighborhood, your city, or your region, what new solutions are you seeing out there that the world needs to know about? We need you to help us highlight how innovative technology is making your part of the world a better place.
What can the world learn from your community? Your community has important experience to share with the world. We want to hear what lessons you’ve learned along the way. What advice can you share with a global community?
More than 300 communities joined in, setting the record for the largest conversation of all time. Thousands more have continued the conversation online via Twitter and here on our blog.
We’ve been inspired by the diversity of voices we’ve heard throughout the year—from youth activists in Nigeria, CEOs in Brazil, coders in Kenya and entrepreneurs in Pakistan—all have come together around promising new media and technology solutions for social good.
Together, we can spark a dialogue that changes the way the world thinks about technology and social media for good. We hope you’ll join us.
