My World. My UN.

April 9, 2012 BY Erin Dunne

I find the work of the United Nations inspiring. As a 23-year-old, I want my generation to understand the importance and significance of the UN and why it is a vital part of our world. Decisions made today will shape our future and I know the UN helps make all of our futures brighter. Join me and the Better World Campaign as we kick-off our new campaign - My World. My UN. We are starting a conversation about your hopes for a better world through the work of the UN.

What do I want? I want to see young girls in developing countries given the opportunity to get the same education I received here in America. Now Share your story!

Join us by sharing our video with your friends, family and the important young people in your life. After watching the video, join our campaign by submitting thoughts, photos, and videos that express why the UN is important to YOU.

Have personally underwent youth empowerment programme sponsored by UN-Habitat and facilated by digital opportunity trust where managed to get basic ICT, entrepreneural and business skills and currently using the skills i learned to empower women and young girls who drop out of school as result of unwanted pregnancies and also offer capacity building on entrepreneural skills to make them self reliant by creating their own jobs also market young entrepreneurs market their artifact to creat jobs for the youths for sustainable development details Have also managed to participate in various international conferences recently first urban youth forum which was held in Abuja Nigeria and the just concluded youth 21 building for change meeting held in Nairobi which always give youth platform to share learn and network.
