Helena Minchew is an intern with the United Nations Foundation Women & Population team, working primarily on adolescent girls initiatives. Prior to joining the Foundation, Lena was a student at the University of Denver’s Josef Korbel School of International Studies, from where she received her MA in International Human Rights, with concentrations in Development, Global Health and Humanitarian Assistance. During her time at Korbel, she acted as Associate Managing Editor for Human Rights and Human Welfare, an online publication dedicated to human rights topics and issues. She also completed internships with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) in Geneva, Switzerland, working with the Peacekeeping Training Programme, and at the Jaishankar Memorial Centre (JMC) in New Delhi, India.
Fun fact: Originally from New Jersey, USA, Lena loves to travel and has lived in six other countries and traveled to 5 continents.
