Increasingly, nonprofits are adopting new governance
procedures that more closely align with private
sector laws on financial, public disclosure, and
auditing practices.
The UN Foundation
is dedicated to open, transparent governance,
and carefully adheres to our
good governance policies. These policies and
procedures include:
• Board compensation
and travel;
• Financial best practices;
• Partnership/donations;
• Conflict of interest;
• Code of ethics; and,
• Whistleblower policy.
These policies are consistent with the best practices outlined by the Panel on the Nonprofit Sector, an initiative of the nonprofit and philanthropics communities intended to ensure high standards of accountability and oversight. UN Foundation President Timothy E. Wirth was one of the 24 members of the panel.
In addition to our governance policies, the UN Foundation also makes available its IRS 990 forms and financial
statements from our auditors for the past several
years. To view this and other financial information, please click here.
