Shamir Shahi

Shamir is the Deputy Chief of Staff of the United Nations Foundation and Better World Fund.  In this capacity, he works closely with the Deputy Chief Operating Officer/Chief of Staff for effective management of the Foundation’s operations.  He directs the Board of Directors liaison activities.  He also provides leadership for the Foundation’s Small grants program and management of Intersessional grants.  Shamir also coordinates strategic planning for Partnership Development, Public Affairs, Executive, and Finance teams. 

Prior to joining the UN Foundation in 2002, Shamir managed study abroad programs at the University of Florida’s International Center, where he provided student advisory services, contributed to the university's study abroad program marketing, and lead information forums and workshops.  Shamir holds a B.A. in Political Science with focus on International Relations from the University of Florida.
