Liang Dan (China)
Liang Dan has served since May 2000 as director of the Investment and Technology Promotion Branch of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Vienna. Previously, she was director-general of the China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchanges (CICETE) in the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade (MOFTEC). She worked extensively with UNDP and UNIDO both in China and in China’s cooperation with developing countries throughout the UN system.
Mme. Liang has been involved in works related to international development cooperation for nearly 20 years. She has not only dealt with the programming, execution and implementation of the national program, but also participated in and contributed substantially to a number of regional activities and economic and technical cooperation among developing countries as well.
Mme. Liang received her MPA from Harvard University, and her B.A. in English and Economics from Beijing University.
